Improved safety measures are being added for fans at high school football games in Fresno Unified. Starting Friday night, the district will use metal detector wands to check fans entering all varsity home football games. Ticket booths will also be closed just before the end of the first half. Fresno Unified School District says they're making the changes to improve fan safety. Hoover High School just recently started wanding students at football games.

I think this is a good idea so that nobody can get into the game with a wepon that can hurt an innocent person.
This is very smart because no one would be able to get in with weapons at school.

No one should be bringing weapons to school. Metal detectors ensure safety, no one should have a problem with being safe.
It's a good idea, but I don't like that it could possibly make lines longer. Closing the gates isn't the best idea either, I think.

I think that if our police man can't stand guard at games in many locations and they have to resort to getting a metal detecting service so be it. But less and less students are going to want to go to games and your gonna lose money

it a good idea but it does invade your privacy a little but its to keep us safe.
Its a good way to dramtically reduce banned belongings at sports, but it does not absolutley elimnate the problem. There is no way to ablosultey eliminate it.
